Creative Director – LoSasso Integrated Marketing 2014 – present
As department head, I oversee a high-functioning team of art directors, writers, production artists and video production managers. I’m responsible for their day-to-day efforts as well as the strategic direction of all agency accounts, which includes both consumer and B2B clients. I work closely with client service and digital teammates for seamless integration and profitability and also lead the agency’s strategic planning process. Client categories include, agriculture, camping and outdoor recreation, hearing aids, foodservice equipment manufacturing and metalworking.

Creative Director – MARC USA – Chicago 2010 – 2013
Most days, if I wasn’t directing, I was doing. And if I wasn’t doing, I was collaborating with talented people in just about every department. And so it was at this fast-paced, retail agency. My proficiencies as a thought leader, writer and mentor fit the brand-building, promotional and content needs of our clients — from Payless Shoes to True Value Hardware, DePaul University to Carle Foundation Hospital.

President and Queen Bee – Ad Lib Marketing – Chicago 2004 – 2010
My time as a freelance writer and creative consultant brought me a fun mix of clients, mostly agencies looking for pith and vinegar at lightning speed. I also used the time to write for the stage and screen and even ghost authored a book about financial planning. But truth be told, I really missed the day-to-day hubbub and synergy of agency life.

VP Creative Director – Leo Burnett USA – Chicago 1998 – 2004
While reaching for the stars, I guided a team of writers and designers through the legal challenges of international cigarette promotions, packaging and brand building. I also wrote a lot of cheeky copy that resonated with Slims women across the US.

Creative Director – Frankel & Company – Chicago 1996 – 1998
I nurtured the young, challenged the weak and went to lots of meetings about meetings. And that was usually before 10am. Silly me for thinking that retail advertising for the U.S. Postal Service would move slowly.

ACD/Writer – Jack Levy Associates – Chicago 1991 – 1996
How does one pass the time at a rising Chicago Agency of the Year? Strategize, write, write, laugh, write, present, write, produce, laugh — repeat. Oh and since most of that was done on behalf of my awesome Pizza Hut client, I also ate a lot of deep dish supremes.
